The Birth of THE WHIP!

How ever long my timeout endured, once the music takes over the rhythm of your heartbeat, you’re in there and there is no way back!

The idea of THE WHIP was born somewhen in late 2022. It has probably been cooking for some time within my creative universe without me noticing it. Never mind!

But on this day I could feel it again: those faded but never extinguished memories of all those great bands and DJs, the concerts and festivals that made me so happy since my teenage years and became my inner drive to be part of this culture by organising concerts myself.

After I decided to become active again as a promoter, I spent many nights trying to remember what actually my talent, my "handwriting" was.

What are the ingredients to make people happy? How can one night turn into an unforgettable moment? What makes the small but subtle and distinguished difference to other events?

Focusing on big budgets and bright stars has never been the winning key!

Step by step, I approached my new idea. I wanted to compose this night anew, arranging it in a refreshing way with unfamiliar and also well-known (but newly defined) elements: 360 degrees in one go.

And so this small but fine event was born, bringing together the "Crème de la Crème" of Soul, Ska, Rhythm'n'Blues and 60's Garage.

What was still missing was the festivals ambassador - a logo, a gizmo which would become my quality trademark. And suddenly there was this little action hero, who turns the music scene upside down, creating a new magic potion of HIGH FIDELITY, LOW CASH & FINEST ENTERTAINMENT!

I called my good friend and most talented graphic artist Marcel Bontempi and said: Are you ready boots? Oh hell yeah he was!

And so, once more, a very inspiring cooperation ignited and a brand new chapter was born:

THE WHIP!
